No Waste Workshops

All week at Blok 63-S | Strijp-S By MLY

Dutch fashion designer Emily Hermans is known for her artisan approach to fashion, with a strong focus on materials and techniques. Many of the fabrics she uses are fully self-developed.

MLY is increasingly regarded as a green label. She uses a lot of eco certified yarns and natural, biodegradable fibers. Printed items are largely digitally printed, which consumes considerably less water than other printing processes. Also, biodegradable inks are used for printing.

Apart from the exhibition, Emily Hermans organizes daily No Waste Workshops in her store. She does this to address one of the most important issues of today’s fashion industry, namely clothing waste, while giving visitors a “behind the scenes” experience. As a workshop participant, Hermans will teach you to develop your own fashion design, in the form of a collage.

Workshops: each day from 10.30 to 13.00, free entrance (full is full)

We envision a world where everyone can be the best version of themselves. We wish to contribute to such a world with sustainable, colourful clothing that empowers women. Our brand is known for its artisan approach to fashion. Many of the fabrics we use are fully self-developed, and the major part of the production process takes place in the Netherlands.
