“Us & Them” investigates the depiction of the ‘Asian’ in Western popular culture, and how it shapes cultural identity. it aims to unravel how humans use imagined realities as a tool to unify strangers in mass scales towards common goals.

“Us & Them” brings these elements together to explore how this image of identity, as intertwined in life, culture and society, frames the conflicts that Asian-Americans have to navigate through.

Alice Wong & Aryan Javaherian

Alice Wong (1989) is a Story Designer based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Through her research, she aims to translate academic research into a comprehensive multi-perspective story. Her principal topic of interest is the intersection of biographical documentary, media and social phenomena.

She is partnering with Design Strategist Aryan Javaherian (1991) on narrating a multi-perspectives research story, that can increase awareness of truths.
