Plenty of music during Dutch Design Week (DDW) in Eindhoven. From 22 until 30 October performances by more than 60 artists are planned in 12 different locations around the city. Twenty-seven new names complete the line-up. A special stage will be built on the Ketelhuisplein for the DDW Music Lab. See the website for more information and the complete programme. Online ticket sales have already begun.

DDW Music

Dutch Design Week, the Effenaar and booking agency Friendly Fire amplify the festival feeling with the 2nd edition of DDW Music. With electro, folk, garage, indie and everything in between the music programme is just as diverse and progressive as DDW itself. The performances will take place in both familiar and surprising locations throughout the city: de Effenaar, Nul Zes, Gaslab, FIFTH | NRE, Van Abbemuseum, Stroomhuis, Altstadt, De Oude Rechtbank, Café Wilhelmina, Muziekgebouw, Calypso — and on the Ketelhuisplein.

The previously announced DDW Music Specials will take place in the Muziekgebouw and de Effenaar.

DDW Music Lab

The Ketelhuisplein forms the backdrop for the DDW Music Lab. Composer duo Strijbos & van Rijswijk will present an exceptional programme with interactive installations that will allow visitors to experience music in a completely new way. What if you could wander through a composition? What does music based on your body movements sound like? And what are the instruments of the future?

DDW Music Lab is open daily from 12:00 until 18:00 hours. In the weekend the lab is a public workspace, where guest musicians and designers experiment and explain about their work. Admission to the DDW Music Lab is free and has been made possible by the Effenaar Poplab. For more information and the complete programme visit www.ddw.nl/music.

Tickets

All concerts (except for the specials) are free upon presentation of a DDW Ticket (available online for €17.50 excl. service costs). Without this ticket, admission is €5 (only at the door). For previously announced specials individual tickets are available (with DDW Ticket €5 discount).

DDW will take place from Saturday 22 until Sunday 30 October in Eindhoven (Netherlands). With the theme ‘The making of’ the event this year is an ode to makers and the making process.
