The Embassy of Robot Love studies how robots can teach us what love is.
ROBOT LOVE Living Lab
In a Living Lab specially designed for the occasion, robots and people share care, attention, love and sex. How do we create the perfect setting where robots feel safe, represented and loved? How close can we get and how far can we go?
ROBOT LOVE Dirty Data
In order to share joys and sorrows with robots, we must learn to trust them. That only happens if we also genuinely want to share who we are, extending the horizon for artificial intelligence as far as possible. Sharing our most intimate details with self-learning algorithms is vital, but it has a dark side. Who else are we sharing our data with and how does this affect our freedom?
ROBOT LOVE Shelter for Abandoned Robots
Robots are abandoned for all sorts of reasons: empty battery, antiquated system, outmoded model, malfunctioning. Discarded robots are piling up everywhere. To give these robots a new life, we have to learn their language, to think in code. In retro-hackalongs, everybody can help to get robots back on their feet. Will love, attention and new codes bring them back to life? And what does that mean for the present and near future?
