What happens when craft wrestles with industrial strength steel. The furniture is formed by twisting iron bars by hand and bending them into shape. Extraordinary human strength and formidable force are combined in the manufacture. The interplay results in bends and curves that cannot be reproduced: every piece is unique.
The industrial steel is approached with the term; self empowerment. How can the material reach its full potential on his own strength without adding or using any other materials. A product that is created and existed out of one material and one material only. To get the steel combine separate bars of steel are twisted around each other. The steel makes a new connection with itself and therefore creates a new unit.
Hoogste Tijd has earned its place as truly hip and trendy place within the city centre of Eindhoven. Its concept is a mixture of restaurant and bar with an international feel. During the weekends when the clock hits 23:00 it's club night!

I’m fascinated by the specific properties of a material and I explore them to discover surprising elements in my designs. The unexpected as a discovery in a product is meaningful for me. The playful fusion of two opposing and contrasting materials, who at first glance can not be combined, intrigue me. It is a challenge to marry these different materials while ensuring their original values and properties. A design is established where two worlds are in harmony.
