Exhibition organized by Vlisco

Vlisco and Modebelofte present the result of their very first ‘Fellowship’; a new initiative, whereby a recently graduated fashion talent is selected to realize an experimental innovation project in collaboration with pioneers from science and industry. The choice fell on Sander Bos who, with his MA in Fashion from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp in the pocket, got to work with Vlisco’s design classic ‘Day and Night’.

Curator: Zara Atelj, Grietje Schepers

Organized by Vlisco

Vlisco manufactures textiles in the Netherlands primarily for African women, who wear its fabrics to express their individual and community’s style. Started in 1846, Vlisco now has a rich archive of 350,000 unique textiles. The bold, colourful and surprising designs come to life due to the natural beauty of the wax printing process, making every printed yard unique.
