Tension is an important influence determining shapes and characteristics in nature, and is a key inspiration for our work.
In an extensive research-project we aim to direct and trap tension in a variety of shapes and materials.
During this Dutch Design Week we showcase the preliminary results of our process and exhibit experiments, prototypes and finished products.

House of Thol is a hands-on design studio creating straightforward and durable design solutions for the everyday run by Thomas Linssen and Jana Flohr.
In our designs we combine a love for aesthetics and experiments with a focus on functionality and manufacturability. We prefer using genuine and sustainable materials, often in combination with contemporary computer aided techniques.
Working together means we can approach the design process allround: from initial concept-development and visualisations to model making and product development. By working closely with labels and manufacturers we aim to create valuable designs within everyone’s reach.
