Missed May I have your attention please? by Maarten Baas in Milano? During Dutch Design Week 2017, the installation and more will be on show at Kazerne!
NEW ICONS - Rietveld now
Who are the design innovators in 2017? If Rietveld would still be alive, what would he make now? Would he be called Maarten Baas? Dave Hakkens, Jalila Essaïdi, Jella Lena van Eck, or different? We are interested to hear your thoughts!
100 years De Stijl
In 2017, the Netherlands celebrates 100 years De Stijl. With a large exhibition, Kazerne joins the theme year Mondriaan to Dutch Design. The podium for design surpasses the external characteristics of De Stijl, like the straight lines and primary colours. The focus is on content: the blending between form and function, and the search for a universal language to interprete the contemporary society. Together with the designers and the audience, Kazerne tries to pierce through the zeitgeist, and to predict which designers will survive the ravages of time.
Curious about the new potential icons? Come to experience and get inspired!

Kazerne is a cultural organisation that does not receive any structural subsidies. We fund our program by the exploitation of the restaurant and rental of spaces. Our exhibition New Icons - Rietveld Now is located in the restaurant and the Meeting room L. As a result, part of it might not always be accessible due to this rental. Organized by KAZERNE Foundation
Kazerne is the international platform for the creative industry in the heart of design and technology city Eindhoven. With over 100 thousand visitors in the first year alone, the creative hub instantly positioned itself firmly in the international world of design.
Kazerne is housed in the old military police barracks (Kazerne in Dutch) and an industrial warehouse. In the exposition spaces, including a bar and restaurant, the worlds of technology, design and art literally come together with good food and drinks.
The inspirational location opened its doors in October 2014 and has already been given raving reviews by the New York Times, for example.
